Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how DoseBook ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our pharmacy point-of-sale software, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

By using DoseBook, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who this applies to

DoseBook is designed for licensed pharmacies and medical stores. This policy applies to pharmacy owners, managers, staff members, and anyone who creates an account or uses the Service on behalf of a business.

2. Information we collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, business name, shop details, and login credentials.
  • Business and transaction data: sales invoices, purchase records, inventory levels, stock movements, adjustments, ledger entries, product catalog data, and related pharmacy operations data.
  • Staff and access data: user roles, permissions, shop assignments, and audit logs of actions performed in the system.
  • Device and technical data: device identifiers, app version, operating system, IP address, sync status, and error logs needed to operate and secure the Service.
  • Support communications: messages you send us by email, WhatsApp, or other support channels.

DoseBook is a business tool for pharmacy operations. We do not require patient or customer health records as part of normal use of the Service.

3. How we use information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Authenticate users and enforce role-based access controls
  • Sync data between devices and cloud servers when connectivity is available
  • Support offline functionality and reliable data recovery
  • Generate business reports, audit trails, and account billing where applicable
  • Respond to support requests and improve the Service
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Offline data and sync

DoseBook is offline-first. Sales and certain operations may be stored locally on your device when internet access is unavailable. When connectivity returns, that data is synchronized to our servers so your business records stay consistent across devices and locations.

5. How we store and protect data

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and isolated storage for each pharmacy tenant. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

  • With service providers who help us host, secure, or operate the Service, under confidentiality obligations
  • When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of DoseBook, our users, or others
  • With your consent or at your direction

7. Data retention

We retain account and business data for as long as your pharmacy account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account subject to applicable law and legitimate business needs such as audit and tax record retention.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access or update account information through the app or by contacting us
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account or certain data
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

9. Children's privacy

DoseBook is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International users

DoseBook is operated from Pakistan and may process data on servers located in or outside Pakistan. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in jurisdictions with different data protection laws.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
